Toggle anchor installs behind 3/8"- to 2-1/2"-thick hollow materials including gypsum board, drywall, and concrete block to provide a secure hold from within the mounting material.
Anchor affixes to the wall before adding the bolt and fixture, allowing one-person installation and fixture changes.
Made in USA, and works with 1/2"-13 UNC-threaded metal bolts (sold separately).
Ultimate tensile strength is 275 lb. in 1/2" drywall with a 1/2"-13 UNC bolt, and 2,038 lb. (material failure) in concrete block with a 1/2"-13 UNC hardened bolt.
Use one-fourth or less of listed maximum values for safe working loads (as required by local regulations).

Expansion shield anchor provides a secure hold in most materials including solid masonry and uncracked concrete, even in applications where the anchor will be exposed to side pressure or vibration.
Anchor is made of rust-resistant zamac alloy and consists of cone on each side that expands the surrounding sleeve when a threaded machine bolt is inserted, gripping the mounting material and holding the anchor in place.
Meets Fed. Spec. GSA FFS-325 Group II Type 2 Class 2 Style 2 specifications.
Ultimate tensile strength is 1,190 lb. in 2,000-psi concrete.
Use one-fourth or less of listed maximum values for safe working loads (as required by local regulations).

Required hole diameter equals anchor diameter.
variation in hole size can be accommodated by turning the expander nut.
the bolt is simply re-inserted and torqued to obtain original holding power (the nut stays in the hole).
Bolt can be removed and re-used with a new nut after cleaning and lubricating the threads.
