- When I first got this I did have to wrap a rubber band around the prong cover to get enough grip to remove it, but that's probably due to arthritis. I also wiped down the prongs. And then I used it to successfully remove, in seconds, a cork which had been pretty thoroughly mutilated by a corkscrew without ever budging from the bottle. I'm very, very happy with this item..
